The vExpert list for 2013 was released today and I am very honoured and humbled to be selected as a vExpert. This is my first time getting selected as vExpert and it is a pretty big deal to me and all virtualization professionals who work very hard to promote virtualization technologies – specifically from VMware.
As the leader in virtualization, VMware has been continuously innovating and it is difficult to catch up with the latest that is out there – but I do my best to continuously learn and share that knowledge.
As the Manitoba VMUG Leader and a virtualization professional I have been working with VMware technologies since the year 2000. In 2008-2009, I got on to VMware technologies on a full time basis and haven’t looked back since. The successful virtualization of Oracle JD Edwards ERP solution got me into the limelight and I have since gone on to attempt other interesting initiatives. I have also been actively running various forms of learning mechanisms – VCP5 study group, hands on labs, knowledge sharing sessions on so on.
It feels nice to be recognized finally and rewarded for all those efforts. What makes it more rewarding is the fact that only 579 professionals (highest number in vExpert history) were selected globally and to be part of such a premier list of professionals is simply awesome.
Earlier this year I also got selected as EMCElect 2013 and together these two awards truly represent my expertise – virtualization & storage technologies.
Once again, thanks to VMware for putting their faith in me and supporting my professional efforts that are focussed on improving community learning and sharing my own expertise and knowledge.
