So after a long time of arranging full day MBVMUG events the Q1 meeting on January 29, 2014 was arranged to take place during the evening.
The benefit to alternate an event occasionally to the evening time is that virtualization professionals who cannot attend VMUG events due to work constraints can do so at their own time and not worry about missing out on anything.
Another step in this direction that I’ll be taking at the next meeting in April 2014 will be to start the event in the afternoon and stretch till night time so that those who can attend in the morning and those who can attend in the evening can do it together.
We’ll have enough content as always anyways to provide technical learning but this has never been attempted before so I am quite curious and challenged to do so.
I do plan to leverage VMware experts like Mike Laverick and others to help me achieve what I am planning so we’ll see how it works out. For this event hopefully we’ll have some other sponsors like CloudPhysics who have previously shown interest to run two sessions and thus make for valuable content.
It is great to continuously see excellent participation from MBVMUG members who make our meetings successful and I do hope that the next one will be attended by even more people since we are going to turn up the volume a notch and bring more valuable content.
